How can I wake up early in morning and become a morning person

Imagine a caveman from 5 million years ago. Obviously, he lived in a cave (he's not called a "caveman" for nothing) with his tribe.

Here he is:

(They didn't have cameras back then, so this is close enough)

During the day, he would go out and hunt animals and gather fruits with the other cave dudes. When the sun goes down, the dudes would come back to the cave. And they would start a fire and munch on the food.

The cave dudes and cave gals will then hang around the fire and tell cavemen jokes.

The dark night swept the land as the fire dies down. All the cave dudes and cave gals suddenly felt a wave of grogginess permeating their body.

Soon, all of them were snoring like a choral symphony.

Until the sun comes up again.

What's going on here?

Why did all the cave dudes and cave gals felt sleepy at the same time?

No, it's not voodoo or magic spells. It's all biochemistry.

As the sun goes down, our bodies start to produce a type of hormone: Melatonin, to prepare us for sleep.

In the past few million years, our human bodies started to learn this pattern:

Sun goes down = darkness = time to produce Melatonin

As the Melatonin get released into our body, we start yawning. We get dizzy and our eye lids become heavy. That's how we fall asleep.

But then, a dude named Thomas Edison invented the light bulb.

Then all hell breaks loose. Human vampires started to roam the planet. We changed our circadian rhythms.

Because our body needs that darkness to produce sleep hormones.

If you are having problems to sleep well and wake up early, here are 5 mini habits to the rescue.

5 Mini Habits That Save Your Sleep, and Wake You Up Early

Now, I am going to turn you into a sleep superhero. These are the 5 mini habits I use myself to wake up at 5am every day.

1) "Dark Sessions" 10-30 minutes before sleep

For a change today, don't play with your smart phone before you sleep.

Turn off that phone, the TV, the computer AND all lights 10-30 minutes before your regular sleep time. Sit on your couch.

Enjoy the darkness. You will feel very primal, like a caveman again.

I usually meditate during my "Dark Sessions" and it helps with my sleep, a lot.

2) Dark Bedrooms

When you are on vacation, you usually get the best sleep. It's not because you are at the beach, or because you have no stress.

It's because hotels use black out curtains. Once you shut the curtains, you turn the room into a cave. Just like the cave dudes from 5 million years ago, you sleep like a gladiator when it's dark.

So, make sure your bedroom is as dark as possible - get the blackout curtains. Also make sure there are no artificial lights in the bedroom.

3) Ban Technology From The Bedroom

Time to be honest: You play with Facebook and Whatsapp from your bed, don't you?

Well, I did that too.

What happens a lot of the time is this: I would surf Facebook for "one last time". The next thing I know is this:

It is 3am in the morning. I knew all celebrity gossip on the planet, and I was feeling like a vampire.

For a change today, ban that phone and iPad from the bedroom. Doing this will ensure you hit the pillow on time.

4) Move In The Mornings

Exercising releases Endorphins into your body, because it makes your muscles more resistant to pain. Our cavemen ancestors needed Endorphins to help them run away from all sorts of crazy monsters - saber tooth tigers, woolly mammoths and others.

But Endorphins also make us feel like super humans. Because the Endorphins stay in our body AFTER it is released. I used to feel more tired than a hibernating sloth after work. But after exercising in the morning every day, I can beam through the day full of energy and focus.

But why the mornings? Because you need to make magic happen, hustle that business, and get superhuman results during the day time, not at night.

5) Bring Positivity To Bed

I used crawl into bed thinking: "Oh my god, I only have 5 hours to sleep. I am exhausted!".

Once I wake up, I thought, "There you go. I am super tired!"

Have you noticed that you wake up with the EXACT same thoughts you carry to bed?

So, instead of bringing complaints and negativity, bring positive energy to the pillow. Stop thinking about the challenges the next day. Think about how you can crush the next day like munching potato chips. Think about how you can be a super badass guy or gal who gods other people.

If you do this today, I can guarantee you will wake up tomorrow on time, full of energy and jumping out of bed like ninjas jumping over bamboo trees.

Putting It All Together

You now know how to sleep better and transform into a morning person. To help you remember it better, here's a pretty infographic, just for you:

How deep we can go to show we are attracted to our crush

Here I go with the small story...

There was this girl he really liked, back in college. They had made plans to meet for lunch. Her roommate dropped her off at the restaurant they were supposed to meet. They had lunch and had a delightful conversation about worldly things.

When it was time to leave, he told her that he could drop her back to her hostel on his motorbike. She was... is, a very joyful and charming lady, but had one flaw - she was very practical about things. You see, the restaurant was at the center with her hostel and mine being on opposite sides. So in her words, "It doesn't make any sense for you to go that way and double back to your hostel"
Like all men his age, who fought tooth and nail with their fathers to get the bike that they wanted, he didn't mind driving a few extra miles even in the absence of a gorgeous pillion as she. With her - he could go 500 miles, and he could go 500 more...

For once though (may be just for kicks) luck was on his side. A strike was declared that day for all public transportation, which they knew nothing about. She tried hailing a couple of autos (for the uninitiated, autos are just like cabs, but on three wheels, with built in vibrators under each seat, and have a licence to thrill on Indian roads).

None of the auto drivers were willing to drive, owing to the strike. A single one who did agree to drive, was charging 4x the usual fare. He told her, "It doesn't make sense to spend so much money... You'll just be encouraging them to exploit others".
She pointed at one auto that stood a little ahead on the road, and said "Tell you what? If that guy agrees to drive for 2x the fare or below, I'll take it. Otherwise, you can drive me to the hostel."
They walked up to the auto and she asked him, "How much would you charge for driving up to XYZ hostel?"
He said, "Rs. 80".
The actual fare was around Rs 35 to Rs 40. He was cutting it close on the 2x criteria.

While she was debating whether to take the auto or not, he panicked. He took out a 100 rupee note, and told the auto driver, "I'll give you 100 bucks not to drive her."
The auto driver was quite sharp. He didn't waste time in asking stupid questions, like "Why?". He just snatched the note out of his hand, and drove away.
She turned to me and said, "Why the hell did you do that for?"
He gave a sheepish grin, and said "I just felt like driving you back."

By this time she had started punching me, "You're insane! And stupid! And insane! You could have just said so! What about all that talk of not encouraging them to exploit others? You could have donated that money to a good cause!"

He took the fact that she was walking towards his bike and not walking away from his as a good sign, and replied "I did donate it for a good cause."
She caught his grin, and returned a goofy laugh, "You're insane!"

Predictions : Top five trending big predictions in 2020

Top five trending predictions for the next 5-10 years. These are the trending technologies will be discussed in the coming 5 to 10 years. These topics are predicted by top IT analysers .

Internet of Things

This is an old idea but it's gained a lot of traction recently, because it's a good one. Connecting & linking not just computers, phones and tablets, but all of our devices through the cloud. Fridges, remote-locking mechanisms, coffee-makers, etc. Most consumer products can be Internet-enabled for less than $20. The only thing holding it back is the fact that the management infrastructure is not in place yet. We'll need ways to manage and utilize these networks of smart devices and objects that are in our homes and lives. This is an area that is very fragmented - yet any widely utilized application or platform will need to work across many different devices, platforms and suppliers. Many companies in the cloud storage/data management space are in a good position here.

Self driving zip cars :

We're seeing how Uber is advancing every day. People love it not because of it's new technology or anything but it revamped the very old business from the ground and made it much simpler. Likewise, Ola Cabs (company) in India has done the same or even better job in reaching out to general audience. Imagine if the cars are self-driving too? I am sure companies like Google, General Electric are spending resources towards this. We should be expecting their presence more and more going forward.
Why are we desperate for them? Amount of time people are spending in driving per day could be more resourceful. Most of the accidents are drink and driving, using mobiles etc are human blunders. They're taking over the actual feel of driving a luxury car like BMW or Mercedes.

Mobile Payments :

With rapid evolution of mobile phones, there is such a big opportunity for replacing money transactions with either an existing, or a new form of electronic currency on a very wide basis. Of course there are lots of examples of both alternative currencies and mobile payment systems today - but they are all still based around credit cards, bank accounts, etc. What we need is a whole new protocol. No one seems to have hit upon a business model that is universal and popular enough to displace physical money. And whatever emerges could replace a lot of conventional advertising as well.

Very traditional approach broken by PayPal (product) a while back and then big players like Google, Apple has got a good hands on to break this process. Apple has seen a good success so far with Apple Pay. However majority of the world still uses Credit Cards, Cash as a day to day payment channel. This has got to break. We are changing this slowly and hence mobile payments, payments through watch etc came. It's gonna spread even more with stuff like thumb impressions, watch payments, Mobile payments etc.

Artificial Intelligence :

Machines are a perfect complement to humans, not a supplement. AI has been able to do incredible things such as beating the chess masters, organize the world's knowledge in the most efficient way and compute things humans would've not done in a life time. However, making them "speak" like a 13 year old or developing an algorithm to identify if a video has a cat in it with a 75% accuracy are the most recent breakthroughs. It's amazing, once you realize anyone can do it. Humans are a product of the laws of physics iterated in an ecosystem which is planet Earth, machines are an invention of the human mind. They are made for different things.
